Privacy policy

The short version
We collect as little as possible. We use your email only to send the deals you asked for, we don't sell it, and we don't build ad profiles on you. Booking clicks send you to the operator, who then has their own privacy policy.
What we collect
- Deal alerts — first name, last name, and email when you join the list. Phone is optional and is not used for texts unless you tick the separate text-alert box.
- Email address — if you subscribe to deal alerts, or email us directly.
- Messages you send us — name, email and whatever you put in a contact form.
- Basic analytics — aggregated page views and referrers, so we know which deals people care about.
- Affiliate click data — when you click a deal, our partner records that a referral happened, so we get credited.
We do not collect payment details. All bookings and payments happen on the operator's own site.
Phone number & text alerts
A phone number is optional everywhere on this site. We only ask for one if you tick the box for text alerts, and saying no changes nothing about your entry, your subscription or anything you can read here.
- Only with your tick. The SMS consent box is unchecked by default. We never text a number that was typed without that box ticked, and consent is not a condition of entry, of a purchase, or of the email.
- What you would get. Deal alerts, at most four messages a month. Message and data rates may apply.
- How to stop. Reply STOP to any message and we stop immediately. Reply HELP for help, or email us and we will remove the number by hand.
- Never sold. We do not sell, rent or share a phone number with anyone for their own marketing. Our messaging provider processes it only to deliver the messages you asked for.
- How long. Until you opt out or ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Giveaways
We run free prize draws — sweepstakes, not lotteries: no purchase is necessary and a purchase never increases your chances. The current one is the Dream Escape Giveaway.
- What we collect when you enter. Your email address, the trip you picked, the time you entered, the referral code you arrived with (if any), and basic technical data — IP address and a coarse device signature — used only to spot duplicate or automated entries.
- Why. To run the draw, check eligibility, contact a winner, and — where you agreed — to send the deal email. That is the whole list.
- How winners are drawn and contacted. Entries close at the published time. The eligible list is exported and hashed before the draw, a random entry is drawn together with one alternate, and the winner is emailed within 48 hours. They have five business days to respond before the alternate is contacted. The method is described in the official rules.
- How long. Entry records are kept for 24 months after the draw and then deleted. Winner records — including the affidavit, W-9 and 1099 — are kept for seven years because tax law requires it.
- Deleting your entry. Email us and we will delete it. Deleting an entry removes it from the draw, and we will tell you so plainly rather than pretend otherwise.
Cookies and affiliate links
Some deal links are affiliate links. Clicking one may set a cookie from the operator or their affiliate network so a booking can be attributed to us. That cookie is theirs, governed by their policy, and it never changes the price you pay. We do not run behavioural advertising cookies of our own.
Third-party offers
Deals on this site are supplied by our operator and wholesale partners — including the live board powered by Dunhill Travel Deals. When you follow one of those offers you leave our site and their privacy policy applies. We recommend reading it before you book.
How long we keep things
Subscriber emails stay on the list until you unsubscribe. Contact form messages are kept for up to 24 months for reference, then deleted. Analytics data is aggregated and retained for 14 months.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email with the one-click link at the bottom of it.
- Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@davidtravel30.com.
- Block affiliate or analytics cookies in your browser at any time — deals still work.
