- The $600 saving is honestly labelled and the itinerary covers a great deal of ground for nine days; whether that is good depends on whether you count countries or afternoons.

Orientation
Nine days, four countries, one coach. The shape is a run through the low countries and the Rhine corridor: the Netherlands first, then Germany, a corner of Switzerland, and France at the end — or the reverse, since the listing gives the countries and not the sequence.
The three inclusions named are the tell. An Amsterdam canal cruise, a Rhine river cruise, and dinner with beer at the Kulturbrauerei in Heidelberg. Two of the three are boat trips and the third is a brewery. This is a tour that understands what people want at the end of a coach day.
Heidelberg is the only city named outright, and it is a good sign: the old town under the castle, a brewery hall, an evening that does not require a plan.
When to go
The listing is for 2027 and does not name a month, and Globus runs this corridor from spring into autumn. The theme tags on the feed say spring, which for this route means tulips in the Netherlands, a river running high, and weather that is more reliable in the Rhineland than on the coast.
If you have a choice of departure, May and June are what this itinerary was built for: long evenings, the Rhine gorge green, the terraces open, and enough light after dinner to walk a town you arrived in that afternoon.
Four countries in eight nights means several one-night stands: arrive late, dinner, sleep, leave after breakfast.
What this trip covers
Amsterdam to the Rhine and on toward France is several hundred miles of the most travelled tour corridor in Europe, and nine days is enough to do it without a night bus. It is not enough to do it slowly. Four countries in eight nights means several one-night stands, and a one-night stand on a coach tour is: arrive late, dinner, sleep, leave after breakfast.
What you will remember is the two boat days and Heidelberg. What you will not get is an unhurried afternoon in a Swiss town that is not a lunch stop. If you have been to this part of Europe before, the trip will feel like a sampler. If you have not, it is a competent way to see a lot once.
Read before you book
$434 a night is the highest per-night figure of any tour on this board — $148 more than the Umbria cooking week. You are paying for breadth rather than depth: four countries, two cruises, one brewery dinner, and a coach that moves most mornings.
The $600 is an operator-stated saving against a $4,069 comparison, 15 per cent. It is the smallest percentage cut among the tours here and it is honestly labelled, which is worth more than a larger number with a vaguer basis.
Not included: flights, most dinners, optional excursions, and gratuities for the driver and the director. On a coach tour of this kind the optional excursion list is where the week’s budget actually gets decided, and you should expect to be offered one most days.
